PROGRAM/PROJECT OBJECTIVE

The goal was to provide the client with a traditional lakefront home with feel of the old stately cottages of the 30’s and 40’s. The use of authentic materials such as hand split shingles and real local field stone help develop the older lake house vernacular. The exterior siding was custom made using an old profile from cottages in norther Michigan. The interior finish out continues along the same traditional vane with multi piece moldings, vintage handmade tile and natural stone fireplaces. Expansive balconies off of both levels offer panoramic views of the lake and lower dune.
